The support group at our last Painting with a Twist event.
We invite you to join us for lunch at Cafe NoMA and a tour of the Besthoff sculpture garden! Lunch will begin at 11am, followed by a tour of the garden at 12:15pm. We will be hosting Painting with a Twist and support group meeting (700 Dublin). We will have an educational activity and painting with light snacks. Arts, Crafts, & Group Talk Saturday, October 24th 11am-1pm Rosa Keller Library and Community Center Main Meeting Room 4300 S Broad St, New Orleans, LA 70118 This meeting will feature a casual group talk session where Survivors, as well as family and friends affected by stroke, will be encouraged to discuss their recent experiences as a Stroke Survivor. Join us for a supportive and creative meeting featuring a fun and easy craft activity as well as a casual group talk session. Silent observers are welcome too. Both seasoned crafters and beginner artists will delight in this opportunity to relax and embrace creativity. This is also an excellent opportunity to practice your fine motor skills in a relaxed and friendly setting. Complimentary Light Refreshments will be provided.

Guests will have an opportunity to share their post stroke difficulties as they relate to common activities of daily life and our presenters will provide information about the role of occupational therapy after stroke. For our craft we will be creating do-it-yourself picture frames. Both seasoned crafters and beginner artists will delight in this opportunity to relax and embrace creativity. Guests are welcome to create crafts to take home or to donate to recently discharged stroke survivors.
